Gezi Park is a popular Turkish/Kurdish restaurant whose owner Erdogan Aygun is passionate about food, whilst also taking pride in making his guests both comfortable and happy. East London is lucky to have many great Turkish restaurants, selling authentic, delicious, fresh, Turkish food – completely unlike the late night kebab, and this is one of them. Meze start at just under a fiver, and grilled meats all served with salad and rice (plus flat bread on the side) around fourteen pound mark. But unlike a lot of grill restaurants Gezi also prides itself on slowcooked casserole styled dishes, seafood shishkebab, and vegetarian options so no-one is stuck with a bit of feta and some hummus – unless they want to be. The clean, wood-rich interior is welcoming, the bar is well stocked.
