A social enterprise with two shop/cafes – one in Leytonstone and the other in Forest Gate – Wild Goose creates healthy, vegan, sourdough, and vegetarian options in its pastries, breads, cakes and snacks.
It’s a little slice of San Fran hipsterdom with South African influences from the owner. You can look forward to Climpson’s coffee, a good selection of artisanal cakes and breads, plus sandwiches, avocado on toast, and soups. Ah the baked goods are available to take away.
There’s quite a casual vibe, with rustic wooden tables and a very human touch, run by people who take an active part in their community (including putting an offer together of ‘suspended care packages’ for those who are self isolating) and they’re also supporters of their local food bank. So their veganism and bakes have a social conscience as well as being super tasty.
A top spot for locals to pick up their weekend treats and hang out for a brunch, lunch or a little indulgence.
